  • Ludum Dare — free, online, ~3x/year. The classic 48/72-hour jam. Compo (solo, 48h, all assets from scratch) and Jam (team, 72h, lighter restrictions). A huge cultural fixture.
  • GMTK Game Jam — free, online, annual, hosted by Mark Brown of Game Maker's Toolkit. Massive numbers, clean theme, beloved community.
  • Global Game Jam — free, in-person + online, annual, Jan/Feb. Local sites worldwide.
  • Brackeys Game Jam — free, ~quarterly, the YouTube-channel community jam.
  • Pirate Software Game Jam — popular Twitch-streamer-led jam.
