The 2024–26 reality: Backloggd has won the social-tracking race (Letterboxd-for-games), IsThereAnyDeal is the de facto price tracker, HowLongToBeat is the canonical "is this game 8 hours or 80?" answer, and Exophase has become the cross-platform achievement tracker most enthusiasts default to.

MetaCritic / OpenCritic — free; review aggregators. OpenCritic has overtaken MetaCritic in critic-aggregation credibility for many enthusiasts; both useful.

Wishlists & price tracking

TrueAchievements — free + paid; web; Xbox / Game Pass community. Excellent Xbox-specific completion tracking and "TrueAchievement points" weighted by rarity.
TrueTrophies — free + paid; PlayStation equivalent of TrueAchievements (same company).
Astats / SteamCompletionist / completionist.me — free; Steam-completion-percentage trackers.
